Our commitment
Confirmity is used by therapists, billing staff, intake teams, house managers and owners. Some of them use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, zoomed text, or a phone in the middle of a shift. We design for all of them, and we treat an accessibility barrier as a bug.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, on confirmity.app and in the Confirmity app.
This is our target, not a certification. We have not had an independent accessibility audit, and we do not claim full conformance today.
What we do
TabEnterEsc
Keyboard
Menus, tabs, forms and question lists work with a keyboard alone, in a logical order.
Focused
Visible focus
Whatever has keyboard focus gets a clear outline, so you always know where you are.
Reduced motion
If your device asks for less motion, animations stop and you see the finished state instead.
AaAa
Contrast
Text and controls are chosen to stay readable against their background, and status is never shown by colour alone.
alt=""
Text alternatives
Images that carry meaning have alt text. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers so they do not add noise.
GuideENES
Plain language, two languages
We write in everyday words, without a glossary. Guide answers questions in English and Spanish.
We also use real headings and labels, keep pages usable when zoomed to 200%, and design every page for phone widths rather than shrinking the desktop view.
Known limitations
We are a small team and some parts are not yet where we want them:
- Some animated demos on this website show sample app screens. They describe the product, but a screen reader gets a shorter summary than a sighted visitor sees.
- Documents that come from outside Confirmity, such as payer bulletins and manuals, may not be accessible. We link to the source as published.
- New screens can ship with issues we have not caught yet.
If something here blocks you, we want to know.
Report a barrier
Email hello@confirmity.app with the subject "Accessibility barrier". Tell us the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser or assistive technology you use, if you are comfortable sharing it. Please do not include client or patient information.
A person reads every message. If you need information from this site in another format, ask and we will provide it.
Changes
We review this statement as the product changes and update the date at the top when we do.
